LACASA CUADRADA
Why are we called The Square House? We see the patio as the heart of our house. It is a square, a symbol made up out of four straight lines. A patio, with four unleveled walls that portray a “closed” space where one supposedly must adapt to the imposed rules and norms. In English there is the saying: to be ¨Square¨ is to be rigid, not ¨cool¨. The reference to not being flexible, traditional and closed-minded.
With La Casa Cuadrada we have created a space where we encourage exactly the opposite.
A place where you can go beyond the standards, express different visions through art and the connections that are created within our unique space.
A workspace dedicated to artists who want to collaborate with the city’s residents and organizations. Here, creatives have the opportunity to work with the local community and other artists residing at La Casa Cuadrada. This unique environment encourages the exchange of ideas, creativity and the creation of work that reflects the cultural and artistic diversity of the region. Inviting residents to participate in collaborative projects, workshops and exhibitions that enhance both their professional development and the cultural and social life of the community.
