The Square House is a historical mezzanine building located en El Coronil, a fairly small town of five thousand inhabitants in the province of Seville.
We are a cultural organization imagined with the purpose of developing creative and educational projects in the rural environment. A multi-purpose public space for creative research, production and exhibition: a place for artists who work with projects that aim to dynamically reinterpret the rural environment, its culture, and the convictions, perceptions that belong to it. Contributing to the growth and identity of the house with exhibitions, presentations, workshops, events and activities that involve the community.
We believe in the square house as a fluid space, a meeting site, stimulating dialogue and collaboration between the creative world and the recreational world, with the objective of sharing cultural heritage in a playful way, involving the population of El Coronil and its rural environment.
Continuously creating new connections and alternative understanding between those who travel and those who live in different places, for different reasons with different perspectives.
The Square House becomes a tangent space.
Its goal is the use of its space as an intersection, a catalyst where the possibility of connecting and starting an open dialogue, a creative collaboration between visitors and inhabitants of
El Coronil and its surroundings.
